Join Dave and Wayne for genre television show news, a glimpse into what the hosts are currently watching, commentary and analysis of the classic military science fiction series Stargate SG-1, and our listener feedback.
This week on the SciFi TV Rewatch podcast we debate whether or not Apophis and Klorel die in the explosion of the two ships. Does the show and SG-1 need a new foe or can the Goa’uld threat continue to play well through subsequent seasons? And who is the most hated internal threat facing Stargate Command: Senator Kinsey, Colonel Maybourne, or Lt. Colonel Samuels?
In our What We're Watching segment, Dave adds Croatia to his list of international shows with the HBO Europe crime drama Success.  Wayne completes his rewatch of the entire Star Trek movie catalog.
In Listener Feedback, Fred from the Netherlands laments the fact that we don’t see Senator Kinsey admit he was wrong all along.

This week on the SciFi TV Rewatch podcast we consider the drawbacks of employing a sharply drawn cliffhanger that forces viewers to wait months for a resolution, but praise the gut wrenching decisions the characters have to make. Will O’Neill recover emotionally after being forced to take out Skaara? But more importantly, how will SG-1 escape what appears to be the mother of all suicide missions?
In our What We're Watching segment, Wayne continues to be amused with Letterkenny, but doesn’t understand the hate directed at Star Trek Into Darkness. Dave dives into yet another UK crime drama with the ultra dark Whitechapel.
To gather some context into our feelings about the film, journey back into the SFTVR vault and check out Episode 50, the October 17, 2013 discussion of Star Trek Into Darkness.
In Listener Feedback, Fred from the Netherlands continues to work his way through the Amanda Tapping led genre show Sanctuary.

This week on the SciFi TV Rewatch podcast we come to terms with the fact that the first season’s penultimate episode falls far short of the established quality we’ve encountered to this point. Though Senator Kinsey comes off as a bit of a jerk, we acknowledge that he has a point questioning the expense and danger of a program like Stargate Command. And like many politicians, his antics seem to be more about him and his lack of foresight than the actual danger posed by Goa'uld.
In our What We're Watching segment, Dave works his way through season 2 of A Discovery of Witches and sees promise in the German Netflix post-apocalyptic tale Tribes of Europa. Wayne sings the praises of the Korean scifi series Space Sweepers.
In Listener Feedback, Fred from the Netherlands gives the episode his lowest grade of the season.

This week on the SciFi TV Rewatch podcast we discuss the introduction and confirmation of the multiverse theory as Daniel Jackson finds himself in an odd situation. Familiar, yet unfamiliar. Do the leaders of SGC 2 too easily follow Jackson’s request to sacrifice themselves to enable him to save his world?
In our What We're Watching segment, Dave is currently watching C.B. Strike, a British crime drama that follows private investigator Cormoran Strike and his assistant and partner Robin Ellacott. The mini-series draws from four Strike novels written by Robert Galbraith aka J. K. Rowling. Having completed his rewatch of the Star Trek films with the original cast, Wayne looks forward to another interaction with the J. J. Abrams offerings. He also talks highly of Letterkenny.
In Listener Feedback, Fred from the Netherlands continues working his way through Sanctuary, but questions the decision of the alternate SGC to sacrifice itself for Daniel Jackson’s timeline.

This week on the SciFi TV Rewatch podcast we discuss moral and ethical considerations as man and machine grow closer together and begin to overlap. In one of the more significant plot developments, the clones of Carter, O’Neill, and Daniel Jackson remain on Altair with Harlen setting up a potential return visit.
In our What We're Watching segment, Wayne brings up the mystery, supernatural thriller 30 Coins, and Dave takes a break from television watching to check out the Netflix film The Dig.
In Listener Feedback, Fred from the Netherlands addresses the cloning carried out by Harlen, and provides us with a handy chart examining international grading systems..

This week on the SciFi TV Rewatch podcast we discuss the impact the introduction of a second gate on Earth might have in the overall arc, but more importantly is the interaction between Carter and O’Neill as they desperately cling to life in what turns out to be an ice cavern in Antarctica.
In our What We're Watching segment, Wayne dives into his Star Trek film series boxed set, and Dave continues with Scott and Bailey while also checking out Beforeigner.
In Listener Feedback, Fred from the Netherlands gives listeners a description of the local reaction to snow events and a high grade to this week’s episode.

Join Dave and Wayne for genre television show news, a glimpse into what the hosts are currently watching, commentary and analysis of the classic military science fiction series Stargate SG-1, and our listener feedback.
This week on the SciFi TV Rewatch podcast we discuss the impact the introduction of Col. Maybourne might have on the overall narrative as the team now has an Earth bound nemesis with which to contend. We also consider the brief relationship Carter has with Narim and whether it feels contrived or genuine.
In our What We're Watching segment, Wayne completes his long and winding journey with The CW’s Supernatural, and Dave picks up another British crime drama in Scott and Bailey.
In Listener Feedback, Fred from the Netherlands feels the interaction between Samantha and Narim falls a bit flat.

This week on the SciFi TV Rewatch podcast we discuss the moral and ethical issues the team must face after Teal’c is accused of murder. Is General Hammond correct when he labels Teal’c a war criminal, and will the subtext surrounding his mention of a new administration change the Stargate Command narrative?
In lieu of our What We're Watching segment, Wayne continues his journey into the Star Wars animation arena with his watch of Rebels. Dave finally gets around to watching the New Year’s Day Doctor Who episode “Revolution of the Daleks,” and gives it high marks.
In Listener Feedback, Fred from the Netherlands reminds us that Covid-19 continues to wreak havoc around the world as he describes new restrictions in his home country.

This week on the SciFi TV Rewatch podcast we discuss the heart wrenching decisions the SG-1 team and General Hammond have to make regarding Cassandra’s future. Once again, it’s the team of Captain Carter and Dr. Fraiser that do all the heavy lifting in an episode that also brings to light another Goa’uld faction.
In lieu of our What We're Watching segment, Wayne gives high praise to the conclusion of the final season of Vikings. Dave rewatches the series finale of Buffy the Vampire Slayer and the first Wonder Woman movie.
In Listener Feedback, Fred from the Netherlands reminds us how cool some of the science fiction merchandise can be as he reminisces about his Batmobile toys.

This week on the SciFi TV Rewatch podcast we discuss the further development of the gender inequality theme present in Stargate Command and the military at large. Once again, it’s the women who save the day, but the frustration Capt. Carter and Dr. Frazier feel stands out among the events of a story that has not reached its conclusion.
In lieu of our What We're Watching segment, we briefly discuss the political unrest in the United States and the lack of understanding many have of the 1st amendment to the Constitution.
In Listener Feedback, Fred from the Netherlands wonders about the hot tub Hathor employs in her plot to create a new race of Goa'uld.
