Even more intriguing is the exchange between Amalia True and Maladie that reveals a past relationship and a grudge that the latter still holds.
In our What We're Watching segment, Wayne finishes Shadow and Bone and continues with the animated Star Wars: The Bad Batch. Dave completes his watch of Alice in Borderland on Netflix.

This week on the SciFi TV Rewatch podcast we discuss the pilot episode of Joss Whedon’s The Nevers and whether or not Amalia True attempts suicide at the moment of the supernatural event. Have the Touched been specifically targeted rather than randomly chosen? At this point we don’t have a clear sense of why Maladie targets the Touched and who’s responsible for the event of 1896.
In our What We're Watching segment, Wayne continues with Shadow and Bone but also adds the animated Star Wars: The Bad Batch to his viewing schedule. Dave recommends the Danish supernatural thriller Equinox which currently streams on Netflix.

We discuss premise and whether or not the overall arc could be allegorical and dive into some of the metaphorical elements of the episode. Wayne also brings back Project X with a brief rundown of the Norwegian rite of passage embedded in the episode.
In our What We're Watching segment, Dave talks about two Netflix series: Formula 1: The Drive to Survive and The Lost Pirate Kingdom. Wayne talks less glowingly about the new Justice League movie which clocks in at four hours.
