As the series comes to a close, Max reluctantly accepts the responsibility of transgenic savior, and though their situation remains bleak, some hearts and minds have softened. Original Cindy delivers the most impassioned speech of the series, and the raising of Joshua's flag at the end provides hope that there may be light at the end of the road. What does it mean to be human? Hard to believe that Normal says it best; "they're just like you and me."

Hysteria regarding transgenics has reached a fever pitch, and when Alec's pal Biggs is captured by vigilantes, strung up and killed, Max and the others have some decisions to make. Sketch finds himself in the middle of a moral crossroads, and despite his best efforts, Alec can't convince Logan that Max still cares for him. Trying to stay one step ahead of the government, the ordinaries and Ames White, the freaks and the Xs have banded together at Terminal City.

Max encounters her clone who was on a deep cover mission when Manticore fell. When Ames White's men locate 453 and he realizes she's a clone, he pits her love for her husband and step-son against any loyalty she might have for Max. Also down for the count is Eyes Only, and Joshua's attempt at living on his own comes to a screeching halt as well after they all recognize the value of family.

Prejudice, paranoia, and fear appear at the core of this episode as Joshua is forced to go underground not only to protect himself, but also to repair the damage he's done to his relationship with Annie. Though he tries to help, Logan remains on the outside looking in as Max, Alec, and Joshua protect and comfort each other in one of the series' most heartbreaking episodes. Dave and Wayne also discuss the new Doctor Who companion Pearl Mackie, J.C. MacKenzie's role on the HBO series Vinyl, and the season 6 premier of Game of Thrones.

However, it always seems to come down to Dave pushing Amanda Tapping while Wayne continues to champion Summer Glau. Regardless, there are a plethora of strong women characters in the science fiction, supernatural, fantasy, and horror fields.

Developed by Lost Girl's Emily Andras, Beau Smith's comic series comes to the SyFy network as Wynonna Earp's demon killing debuts. In the pilot Wynonna returns to her home to attend her uncle's funeral, but the mystery surrounding his death and the arrival of her 27th birthday signal that things are about to get real. Played by Melanie Scrofano, Wynonna reunites with her sister Waverly (Dominique Provost-Chalkey) who has been patiently waiting for her older sister's return. Federal agent Dolls (Shamier Anderson) coerces Wynonna to join his X-Fileish team of demon hunters. Wayne brings back Project X with a look at the man behind the legend, Wyatt Earp.

After yet another virus scare that lands Logan in the hospital, Max decides that to protect the man she loves, she needs to break off their relationship. Joshua meets Annie (Kandyce McClure), a blind woman who sees him for who he really is, but because he's a transgenic, his relationship is doomed before it even begins. Max and Alec draw closer, but to what end.

In the series finale the clubhouse burns, as Jack tries to draw Bo into his plan to rule the world. Though it's touch and go for awhile, love reigns over all as Kenzi is able to stop Bo from going full on dark queen. Tamsin gives birth to Bo's half-sister, but it's Kenzi who takes her, raises her, and eventually returns her to the center of Fae life, The Dal. And in the end, Bo and Lauren reconcile leaving Doccubus fans everywhere satisfied.

Bo and Kenzie find the midwife at Bo's birth, and in doing so learn the identity of the Pyrippus. Dyson must assume a leadership role as the Light and Dark agree to join forces against Hades who plans to raise Tamsin's child as his own.

Dave and Wayne discuss the 2016 Saturn Awards nominees, and as usual, have their share of disagreement. The episode pays homage to The Wizard of Oz as Bo's dream state parallels real time while the team figures out how to snap her back into the real world. Dyson continues to mourn Trick's death, and the reading of the Ash's will helps to assuage some of the guilt each feels.
