However, the in-fighting taking place among the three young Librarians neatly counterpoints the uncomfortable truth that brothers and sisters often fought on opposite sides in the war between the states. Dave's tip of the week is the Verizon Go90 series Miss 2059.

Cassandra takes a sabbatical from the Library to address her fears and examine whether or not she wants to remain a Librarian. Along with a young man from "the safest town in America," Cassandra confronts the fairy who's been protecting the town for the past 27 years. In the end, she learns that life is not without risks, and the town must now transition to a new level of normalcy.

Eve takes Cassandra, Ezekiel, and Jacob to a team building camp to investigate and participate when the Clipping Book sends them to find out why campers are going missing. DOSA returns and Jake develops a crush, while Cassie torments Jones with a series of pranks. In the end, each learns about his/her commitment to The Library, and Eve comes to terms with Flynn's resignation.

Dave and Wayne discuss the ending of the Netflix cyberpunk series Altered Carbon, and Fred from the Netherlands checks in with feedback from season one of The Librarians. Nicole Noone (Rachel Nichols) returns to collect hidden artifacts, but when it turns out that the Romanov dynasty's svengali Rasputin (Christopher Heyerdahl) wants them for himself, Eve and Nicole work together to bring down the evil immortal. In the end, the characters must reevaluate their committments to the Library and decide whether or not they wish to continue this relationship.

Flynn comes face to face with his 19th century hero Librarian Darrington Dare as the two fight to stop Ambrose Gethic from wreaking havoc in the 21st. After an entire town wakes up to find itself significantly aged, the Librarians swoop in to figure out whether or not magic plays a role.

Hoping for a night away from the Library, Eve and Flynn take in a movie, but their date ends up taking an unexpected turn. They find themselves as characters in one of Eve's favorite film noir classics, and when Cassandra, Ezekiel, and Jake come to the rescue, the young ones find themselves trapped as well.

With Flynn, Eve, and Jenkins away enjoying a tropical vacation with Santa, the young Librarians watch over Santa's sleigh, and as usual, things don't turn out as planned. Ezekiel uses the Magic Door to visit his mother and sisters, but his mom takes time out from celebrating Thankstaking Day to do a little taking on the side. Unfortunately, she steals a painting from the Bank of Thieves, and the team unites to return it to its "rightful" place. Along the way, Jenkins comes to the rescue, and not only does he save the young Librarians but Santa's sleigh as well.

The Librarians calls back to the first film in the trilogy by reintroducing Nicole Noone, Flynn's first guardian. Having been sent 500 years in the past, Nicole puts her anger aside and helps the team recover the cornerstones from the first library. Rachel Nichols stars as Nicole, and John Noble appears as Monsignor Vega. Dave and Wayne answer another Travelers question and touch on the Doctor Who Christmas Special.
