This week on SciFi TV Rewatch we discuss whether old Helge actually tries to stop his middle age self from working with Noah by causing the car crash that ultimately kills him. While time traveling young Jonas certainly plays a key role in the battle between Adam and Claudia, The Stranger's actions come into question. And though they're not committing to a full season run, Dave and Wayne will take a look at the BBC series Jonathan Strange and Mr. Norrell next week.
In our What We're Watching segment, Dave and his wife near the end of Mad Men, but it's the return of SyFy's Van Helsing and Amazon's Undone that really have him excited. Wayne continues to enjoy the Russian series Better Than Us.
In Listener feedbackFred from the Netherlands wonders about the romantic connection between Agnes Nielsen and Doris Tiedemann.

This week on SciFi TV Rewatch hones in on the negative space surrounding both characters and story lines. Why don't we know more about Peter Doppler, and why did he not arrive in Winden until 1987? How did young Tronte Nielsen get those burns on his arm, and who is Regina's father?
In our What We're Watching segment, Wayne finally completes his watch of Marvel Agents of SHIELD season 6, while Dave praises the 2017 Netflix indie film Time Trap.
In Listener feedback Fred from the Netherlands goes outside the genre realm to watch David Duchovny in Californication, and Travis Payton hits us up with a suggestion to revisit the 2012 mind bending film Looper.

Join Dave and Wayne for genre television show news, What We're Watching, commentary and analysis of two episodes of the German Netflix production Dark, and our listener feedback segment.
This week on SciFi TV Rewatch Dave and Wayne go back to rewatch episodes three and four of season one to search for clues, instances of foreshadowing, and just plain cool details. Of particular note are the circumstances surrounding the early stages of the Franziska and Magnus' relationship, and middle aged Helge presents Claudia with a copy of Tannhaus' book.
In our What We're Watching segment, Wayne burns through the new Amazon fantasy/noir series Carnival Row, and Dave nears the end of the Spanish time travel show The Ministry of Time while still working his way through season three of The Magicians. And in the non-genre realm, Dave and his wife have finally gotten around to checking out Mad Men.
In the Listener Feedback segment, Fred from the Netherlands wonders whether the makers of Dark overheard our discussions about the calendar snafu.

Join Dave and Wayne for genre television show news, a Tip of the Week, commentary and analysis for this week’s episode of the German Netflix production Dark, and our listener feedback segment.
This week on SciFi TV Rewatch Dave and Wayne revisit the first two episodes of Season 1 of Dark titled "Secrets" and "Lies" as they look for details missed the first time around as well as clues that now have added meaning.
In our Tip of the Week segment, Wayne recommends the series finale The CW's iZombie and points out the continued craziness that is the post-apocalyptic series The 100. Dave reports that two new shows that dropped on August 30th are worth watching. Netflix presents The Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance, and Amazon's Carnival Row starring Orlando Bloom and Cara Delevingne both definitely hit their marks.
Fred from the Netherlands checks into the Listener feedback segment.

Join Dave and Wayne for genre television show news, a Tip of the Week, commentary and analysis for this week’s episode of the 2010 BBC production Dirk Gently titled “Pilot,” and our listener feedback segment.
This week on SciFi TV Rewatch we fulfill Patreon supporter Michael Jacobs' request for a discussion of the first attempt to bring Douglas Adams' quirky detective Dirk Gently to the small screen. Following his mantra that "everything is connected," Dirk and his friend Richard MacDuff investigate the parallel disappearances of Mrs. Jordan's cat Henry and billionaire Gordon Day in a tale that concludes with a time travel twist.
In our Tip of the Week segment, Wayne recommends the UK's Channel 4 production called Derry Girls which chronicles life for a group of teenagers in Northern Ireland in the 1990s. Dave is currently watching the Danish drama Herrens Veje (Ride Upon the Storm) which tells the story of a family struggling to meet the demands of the patriarch that his sons continue the 250 year tradition of serving as a priest in the Church of Denmark. Both series are currently available on Netflix.
Fred from the Netherlands checks in with a brief comment about Dirk Gently in Listener feedback.

Join Dave and Wayne for genre television show news, a Tip of the Week, commentary and a final analysis of Season 2 of the German Netflix production Dark, and our listener feedback segment.
This week on SciFi TV Rewatch we examine each of the means by which characters travel through time to one of the five temporal destinations. Is it possible to travel more than one thirty-three year interval in one jump? Will Katharina end up in 1954 for an awkward reunion with Hannah and Ulrich?
What form will the coming war for time take, and to what year does The Stranger take Magnus, Franziska, and Bartosz? And why do the older versions of Magnus and Franziska appear to work for Adam?
In our Tip of the Week segment, Wayne recommends the film Moneyball which documents the rise of Oakland Athletics general manager Billy Beane, and Dave alerts listeners to two new shows set to drop on August 30th. Netflix presents The Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance, a prequel to the 1982 film The Dark Crystal. On the same day, Amazon will release Carnival Row starring Orlando Bloom and Cara Delevingne.
Fred from the Netherlands points out the wealth of Dark related music available on YouTube in Listener feedback.

Join Dave and Wayne for genre television show news, a Tip of the Week, commentary and analysis for this week’s episode of the German Netflix production Dark titled “Endings and Beginnings,” and our listener feedback segment.
This week on SciFi TV Rewatch we discuss the revelation of the Many-Worlds Interpretation that now appears to exist within the Dark world of Winden. Has Martha 2.0 taken young Jonas to her world, and will season three offer a glimpse into this parallel universe?
We're particularly troubled by Clausen's obsession with Aleksander and question whether he's responsible for the apocalypse that occurs after he orders one of the yellow drums opened. However, amidst all the compelling mysteries we've been presented over the two seasons of Dark, none are more mind-bending than the revelation that Charlotte's mother is, in fact, her daughter Elizabeth.
Fred from the Netherlands takes a different approach on this week's Listener Feedback segment as he discusses some of the important musical selections that add to the rich textures of each episode.

Join Dave and Wayne for genre television show news, a Tip of the Week, commentary and analysis for this week’s episode of the German Netflix production Dark titled “The White Devil,” and our listener feedback segment.
This week on SciFi TV Rewatch Dave and Wayne discuss whether the future can actually be changed within the world of Winden and focus on the changes in how Egon's death plays out in 1987. For some inexplicable reason, Magnus and the Scoobie Gang decided it's a good idea to allow Katharina control of the time travel device introduced by Bartosz.
Having traveled to 1954, Hannah convinces young Egon to allow her to visit Ulrich in prison. Her motivations for this act remain unclear, but there does seem to be a spark between Egon and Hannah. She apparently plans to remain in 1954 in full possession of the device that allowed her to travel to the past.
In the Tip of the Week segment, Wayne recommends Eric Kripke's latest offering The Boys on Amazon, and Dave advises against the Netflix science fiction show Another Life after recommending it the week before.
Fred checks in and recommends the fantasy/horror film Susprisia starring Dakota Johnson and Angela Winkler (Nurse Ines), and in Listener Feedback he points out the change in Egon's newspaper death story.
