Episode 398 Stargate SG-1 S01E20 Politics

Join Dave and Wayne for genre television show news, a glimpse into what the hosts are currently watching, commentary and analysis of the classic military science fiction series Stargate SG-1, and our listener feedback.

This week on the SciFi TV Rewatch podcast we come to terms with the fact that the first season’s penultimate episode falls far short of the established quality we’ve encountered to this point. Though Senator Kinsey comes off as a bit of a jerk, we acknowledge that he has a point questioning the expense and danger of a program like Stargate Command. And like many politicians, his antics seem to be more about him and his lack of foresight than the actual danger posed by Goa'uld.

In our What We're Watching segment, Dave works his way through season 2 of A Discovery of Witches and sees promise in the German Netflix post-apocalyptic tale Tribes of Europa. Wayne sings the praises of the Korean scifi series Space Sweepers

In Listener Feedback, Fred from the Netherlands gives the episode his lowest grade of the season.
