While there's minimal movement on Bo's bloodline story arc, an emphasis on duos appears in this episode. Lauren's moving in with her Dark pals, and The Morrigan lets her know that she'll have complete freedom to conduct whatever research she choose and will have no movement restrictions placed on her. After five years with the Light, Lauren's understandably skeptical, but the skeptics finally received some satisfaction when Kenzi and Hale take the first relationship step. She wears his hat.

Before getting to the episode discussion, Dave gives up on Once Upon a Time, and Wayne implies he may be doing the same with Percy Jackson. In this Dark Fae centric episode, the Una Mens background comes more into focus, and Trick's link to them raises more questions than answers. Are Tamsin and Kenzi the new Dynamic Duo? Will Bo and Lauren resume their relationship, or will their differing political philosophies drive a wedge between them?

Bo is back, bitches, and she's taking no prisoners. However, the Una Mens end the evening's proceedings with a rather disconcerting revelation. In between Lauren and Tamsin take giant steps forward while Kenzi's regressed to a character full of self-pity and regret. Dave and Wayne actually agree on most of the major plot points, and the guys make three Doctor Who references that are totally salient.

After nearly 1,000 episodes, 11, or is it 12, or 13 Doctors, companions too many to count, and the omnipresent Daleks, Doctor Who just celebrated 50 years of wondrous adventures throughout the known and unknown universe. It truly is one of a kind.

Off the train, Bo finds herself embroiled in a decades old case of familial revenge as a father attempts to protect his family from a malevolent spirit. Dyson and Clio reunite with Bo, but it's Lauren's behavior as her alter ego Amber that garners the most attention in this episode. What role will we see Crystal play as the season unfolds?
Here's the copy of the text from one of the newspaper articles in the scrapbook that Julia shows to Bo. Make of it what you will; I have no clue, but feel it has some meaning.

I must explain to you how all this mistaken idea of denouncing pleasure and praising pain was born, and I will give you a complete account of this system and expound the actual teachings of the great explorer of the truth, the master-builder of human happiness.

Inter-dimensional travel between planes seems to be the only way Bo will become reunited with her family. Tamsin regenerates while Hale insists on taking baby steps regarding a relationship with Kenzie. Wayne displays his medical acumen, and both point out the writers were put in the unenviable position of telling the stories without Anna Silk.

Well, we're finally back. At least some of us are back as Bo, Lauren and Tamsin are MIA in the season premiere that finds the gang devoid of any memories of Bo, and though it's somewhat disconcerting to be without the archetypal Lost Girl, we do bear witness to a number of new and different relationship dynamics. While Wayne liked the episode a lot, Dave found it lacking in a number of areas.

In the final installment of our zombie pilgrimage, we look at the Brad Pitt blockbuster film World War Z. We never learn the cause, and the hero fails to find a cure or vaccine, but the technical aspects of the film are spectacular. Mireille Enos, from The Killing stars as Pitt's wife, and Peter Capaldi, set to star as the 12th Doctor, round out the cast.

It seems as if genre television and film fans are continually on edge worrying about whether or not our new favorite show will survive to even see a second season. So why are we so critical?

After reading and talking about the infamous underwear scene in the latest installment in the Star Trek franchise, Star Trek Into Darkness, the guys couldn't stay out of the fray. Not surprisingly, Dave and Wayne disagree on the validity of the scene, and Wayne's son even weighs in briefly.
