Now that Prospero has been dispensed, the team moves on to other jobs. Concerned that even though the team appears to be ready, Eve worries that each could be stronger with more training. However, before intensive training can continue, the Librarians, including Flynn, are called to Boston to put down Apep, god of chaos who is trying to unleash pure evil into the world. The Librarians find themselves in the middle of a classic Faustian tale, as Eve reunites with a former military buddy who's now running for office after returning to his hometown. In addition to Eve employing a rather ingenious plan to circumvent the devil's compact, we also learn that there's more to her job than even she thought. Co-stars John de Lancie and Michael Trucco highlight the additional cast.
